STOVE & OVEN PROBLEMS

DOESN’T TURN ON

If an electric stove doesn’t start, first be sure the stove power cord is plugged in and all circuit breakers are on. You will want to check the pilot light on gas models. If the stove is plugged in and the pilot light is burning in the oven, that means another part will need to be fixed. The cause of the issue might be the infinite switch, surface element, oven igniter or broil and bake element.

OVEN DOESN’T HEAT

A stove or burner or oven that does not produce heat does not do much good. An oven doesn’t heat if there is a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. Your burner will not heat if an element breaks or if the burner switch or the terminal block do not work. We know how to repair these common issues in less than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

TIMER ISSUES

You can assume the control board on a stove or oven is broken when the program or timer settings aren’t working. OVEN IS VERY HOT

You always need a hot oven. But not too hot! If the heat is out of control, it might be due to a problem with the sensor or thermostat. IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

A common stove problem is when an igniter glows but it does not light. The reason this occurs is from a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We are able to determine if we are able to fix these parts or if we will need to replace the part.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

New self-cleaning ovens can experience door issues. The door does not open after the oven is done cleaning itself. We monitor the door closure, thermostat and seal to troubleshoot why the door doesn’t open and then complete the repair so we can correct the problem.
